NEST WALKS - UPCOMING WALKS
Thursday 24th May - Gebas Moonscapes - Meet El Berro car park 10.30
Friday 1st June - Short day trip by train to Elche meet 9.45 Alhama train station
Full details on updated website at http://www.nestwalks.info
Remember booking is essential.
There is now another outing as yet unannounced so you have first pick of places for a special wild boar spotting early evening picnic on Tuesday 26th June in the pine-clad mountains in shady areas. Perfectly timed to make the most of the longest days of the year it will stay light until at least 9.30pm. Meeting in the car park at El Berro at 5pm we will then make our way into the cool shady spots amongst the pine trees in the mountains with our picnics. Please bring fresh vegetables to attract the wild boar who are natural vegetarians. They will also eat dried corn which is available from special chicken feed shops. On this occasion unfortunately no children or pets are invited simply because they can put wild boar off from appearing and wild boar will run away from a shouting child for example.
Of course there is no guarantee they will appear but we can certainly have fun trying and if they do then what a bonus!
It is a perfect outing for photographers as the group will be fairly stationary so it is ideal for taking photos of surrounding nature without feeling at all rushed to walk anywhere once there. Ideal for anyone who loves animals and nature as well as being sociable and friendly. So come and enjoy yourselves! Bring water, sensible footwear, cameras, binoculars, sun protection and a smile. Not forgetting a picnic and wild boar food!
Please bear in mind that you do need to be healthy to come out with NEST and you come entirely at your own risk as phone signals and medical help are not always available.
Please book by phone/text to 679002147 or email natureespunatrails@gmail.com with full names of each person with Spanish contact phone numbers and wait for confirmation back. Unfortunately people can?t just turn up because of restaurants etc
Directions and information in general including videos and photos are on the website http://www.nestwalks.info (although this hasn't been announced there quite yet as you get priority)
You can also link up on Facebook at 'Natureespunatrails Nest' https://www.facebook.com/natureespunatrails for snippets on wildlife, ecology, Spain, expat life, and groups for rescue dogs etc!
If you'd like to make sure your friends know about NEST too, in case they would like to come along to this or any future walk, feel free to forward them this email to them, and invite them to join the mailing list at http://www.nestwalks.info filling in their email address there. Details are never passed on to anyone else. As you know, NEST does just occasional walks and outings so it's good not to miss them!
