THALASIA SPA

The other day we went for an afternoon at Thalasia. There are lost of different options of packages that include massages ect. but we just went for the simple package that included the pools and the maritime circuit, this cost 27 euros and includes sandals and swimming cap (that you must wear).

With more than 4.500m2 of sea water pools, marine circuit and marine treatment facilities, it makes a relaxing afternoon. The Salt water pools are maintained at 32-34ºC with different subacuatic massages, jacuzzis, water beds, high pressure jets, waterfall, for total relaxation; also a rehabilitation pool. Aquagym and exterior swimming pool at 24-25º with terrace. I would suggest taking goggles as the salt water can sting your eyes.

There is also a Relaxation room with views to the marine pools to relax in after thalassotherapy treatments.

The Marine Circuit consists of the following areas:

- Bithermal showers

- Sauna

- steam room

- Ice Cave with an icepool

- Relaxation Pool

The cafe has marvelous views of the salt lakes of San Pedro and serves yummy fruit juices.

You can also add on massages and treatments. To see full price list click here:

Thalasia is in San Pedro de Pinatar , If you go up the AP7 direction alicante, and take the exit 774 into San pedro de Pinatar, you get to a roundabout with a Boat on it! go straight over, and continue straight on towards the sea, Thalasia is there on your right. You cant miss it.
Enjoy!

A DAY TRIP TO ARCHENA SPA

Archena Spa is located about 15 mins out of Murcia, It took us 40 mins from La Torre Golf Resort, basically you follow the C3319 to Murcia and continue on until the second turn off to Molina de segura(this is the turn off to to ikea). From this turn off its about 15mins,continue on the road past molina de segura, take turn off to Archena, follow the city centre signs (centro de la ciudad) you will finally arrive at a roundabout where signs for the "balneario de Archena" appear, follow these but ensure you follow the ones which say "Balneario termalium" or you will end up in the Hotel area.

This is a superb day out, we decided to do the package which was 35 euros, this included access to indoor and outdoor pool areas , the indoor termalium suite, a 3 course lunch, a foot massage and a bottle of face tonic! You do have to wear a swim cap (very unattractive, by the way) but can buy one there for 3.50. Parking was reasonable too.

You are given a wrist band with a barcode on it, this accesses you in and out, there are lockers which cost a euro (refundable) the best advice is to leave everything in the locker and just go through with a towel and flipflops (you can keep returning to lockers)
The indoor pools are superb, Lots of jacuzzis, jets, bubling jacuzzi underwater beds, and an area where you get whipped outside in a current, outside there is another pool with jacuzzi, jets and bubbling water beds, also lots of sunloungers and a cafe.

The water is warm and comes from hot springs.

Inside there is the termalium suite, which has 4 saunas different heats, a steam room, an icepool, an igloo, a pool full of real life lemons, with jets. There is also an area where showers and jets get you as you walk through, a warm pool and a relaxation pool.

You can use all of this as much as you want.

We found it was best to go for lunch at 1pm, then we were back in all the areas by 2pm when all the spanish people went for lunch, so we had termalium suite to ourselves. This place is 99% spanish people using it.

The foot massage was good, you go to the desk in the termalium area and they take you through to the massage area.

All in all a great day, check the link for pics and prices
